My pet bird Petey, his head fell off! Never getting a parakeet from ebay again.
Some other sites I highly recommend if you're looking for excellent prices on drivers and clubs. They pretty much all either have a sale or 10-20% coupon available rotating weeks:
rockbottomgolf.com
Callawaygolfpreowned.com
maplehillgolf.com
And globalgolf.com
12 degrees of loft is a lot. The available loft and shaft choices fit players with slower swing speeds. If you have a faster swing speed, check out the Cobra LTDx driver for $249. It was considered one of the best drivers in 2022.

I don't play much golf anymore, but a golf pro called Rick Shiels has an interesting YouTube channel and he thinks that the Kirkland brand clubs from Costco are pretty amazing for the price. He just tested a driver a couple of days ago that is $200 that he suspects is made by Callaway. They are getting sued by Taylormade for their irons so they must be pretty decent. Plus you get to beat your friends with $1k Costco clubs when they spent $4k on their set.

This is a completely different product from what Costco sells. The Star line is much lighter, way better quality shaft.

Yes, but people were talking about how this is good for kids and old people. I was offering an alternative in this price range for regular players.
"Way better quality" is what Callaway marketing wants you to believe. In reality, tests have been done with robots on the top drivers and the Costco ones have about 2% less carry, which is not exactly going to be noticeable for the average golfer with a handicap in the teens.
The last time i bought clubs on eBay the heads flew off. Never again.
I bought a product listed on Slickdeals I didn't like, so I'm never buying anything posted here ever again lol. You realize eBay doesn't sell anything, right?
Every time I see a driver deal, I get fomo. For the life of me, I cannot hit a driver. I have resorted to hitting a 4-iron off the tee every single time. I still keep up with my friends off the tee, but always get the inevitable "imagine if you hit that with a driver."
Loft is relative to the player and setup. You can hit high loft head with low spin shaft for a high bombs.
You always buy the club that fits to your swing. Before i tore my elbow, i ran 8.5* TM M series driver head set to -2* with low launch low spin setup as my normal setup.
Long drivers use senior flex....please explain your logic...also, driver can be turned down 2 degrees
These clubs are for senior people and we're designed to be super light this club cannot be adjusted it is fixed at 12 degrees bc the adjustable hosel is too heavy
Buying a new driver, or any new clubs, is not a magic fix and won't make any difference if your swing still sucks.
When you can hit your current driver, or irons, really well and need something to get even better, then get fitted and get some new ones.
Otherwise, you're wasting your money or trying to be 'cool' with the latest stuff.
This is a bit relative. I just moved from an epic flash to a rogue st max and it's night and day different as far as forgiving. I find way more fairways. I'm a 14 handicap and I think this driver may take 3 or 4 strokes off that alone.

Interestingly, all the other Callaway Epic Maxes that I see online (from the Callaway site or the Callaway preowned site) have adjustable loft, but the posted driver does not seem to be. I'm a beginner golfer, so I may be able to get away with the 12' loft, but I assume, eventually, I have to get down to lower loft. I'll buy ones that are adjustable used. =)

Callaway just never figured out how to promote the Star like properly IMO. Solid buy at this price for the right golfer.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure my issues are the man and not the clubs.
