All of these portable ACs are terrible when compared to a window AC. If you have a vertical window, you should consider a U shaped window AC. Not only does it cool faster, it's way quieter, doesn't take up any floor space, don't have to worry about dumping condensation water, has better window seal, and you can even open your window if you want to.

Any one know if there is shipping with a regular membership or shipping is only for Plus?
Groupon has the Plus membership for $70 with free shipping, but that kills the deal.
I live in dry desert area in southern california, its perhaps 100F+ outside, my room is like 90F, this thing tries to cool the room but the compressor keeps turning off every few mins leaving only fan running then back on 10 mins later... no water coming from both drain holes, its driving me nuts, cant find any answers about this online!
