It's a better reviewed monitor than the G8 because at 240hz, G8 has reported scanline issues by reviewers and users.
On the other hand, I don't use either of my G7 right now because I work with multiple computers. Samsung monitor doesn't auto switch input like any other monitors, even the cheap $100 ones. I have to reach down to switch input every time I turn on a different computer. It's a pain.

Colors are vivid and blacks are super inky...
No speakers but connected external speakers via 3.5mm out from monitor.
I would buy the Neo G7 over the Neo G8, since the screen is matte and no scan line issues.
