This deal has been up for a while now, and is still ongoing. I got mine a couple weeks ago and it sounds great especially coming from my BIC PL-200 (which was great in its own right). This sub is much tighter with more clarity and of course much more output. This sub is not overly boomy, I really like it… but it's HUGE for a 14" sub!
Adorama shipped it fast and the box was in perfect shape (surprising as this is close to 84lbs). Lots of people saying Adorama doesn't handle shipping well; mine was perfect.
If you can find a spot for this monster, you won't be disappointed! I believe this is the best Home Theater value you could possibly get.

Your question is akin to saying "this Toyota Corolla or this Ferrari Roma". They are both cars, but it's hard to compare the two otherwise. If your budget for a sub is $100, get the Jamo. If your budget is $700, this is a great option.

Got a pair of these to replace my dual svs pb-1000 and the diffference is telling. During movies, the subsonic bass that you can feel pressurizing your body is insane. Even with the gain at just 6, I have to turn down my AVR sub db to -2.

I and many others have received their sub with no damage.
That's what I was thinking. Literally the first post in this thread is that my sub came undamaged. Klipsch packs these things well.

I ordered two of these, both subs arrived damaged. As others have said, they ship in the manufacturer packaging. Adorama wanted to offer a 30$ refund….

this or the 10" Jamo S 810 currently $89?
I bought two of the jamo 10s and was very unhappy with them. They were very one note. No deep bass. Movies were boring and music was pretty flat. They were cheap , but I really was hoping for more.

I got 1 of these 14" Klipsch substo replace my Jamos. What a night and day difference. This thing is amazing. I'm in love with this sub. It goes down to 14hz with not a single f given. It's an amazing experience that makes me feel like I'm in a high end theater.

Is it worth considering pairing this with the $599 Jamo speaker sets? Just this sw alone costs more than the speakers themselves.
Totally fine. I'm pairing mine with an old home theater in a box. (Energy Take Classic 5.1) it's amazing.

It just fills in the deep end. It doesn't have any brand, material, or placement matching required. Put it in the corner of your room with a little space from the wall and off you go.

I've got two 1000 pros. Think it's worth an upgrade?

Adorama does not ship these I am sure. They probably drop ship from Klipsch.
UPS handling and Klipsch packaging is the issue

Last sub I ordered was damaged as well.

I have this sub paired with denon 4800h , 7ch monoprice amp from a recent slick deal , 2 t6 encore towers , encore c6 and 2 encore b6 and I'm very unimpressed.
I'm a sound noob, I wish I knew what I'm doing wrong.

Where's the deals on the 1200SW? This thing is just way too large.

When I ordered this sub from adorama the packaging came damaged, but the sub itself was fine. But I also ordered speakers from them that were beat to hell. And the packaging was destroyed in shipping. They kept insisting that I mail them back even tho the boxes they came in were literally falling apart. In the end they gave me store credit which I couldn't get to work on their website and their sales people couldn't access the website prices so to use the credit over the phone I'd have had to pay a higher price. It no joke was over 60 emails and several phone calls to get this resolved.
The sub itself is amazing. Adoramas customer service is suspect.

If you got the budget and the space..heck yea. 1000 pro aint that much better than pb-1000. This 1400sw is more comparable to the pb-3000. These 14inch drivers are legit for home theater...music is also better than my previous pb-1000

If I had the jamo setup I'd totally pair them with this sub. It'll take it to the next level.

Unimpressed? What were you expecting for $700, a PB-16? The only thing that can compete with this in the price range is the RSL-12s; but although this may not be as "tight " ask the RSL, I still think think the RP-1400 wins by providing more down low. I chose the RP-1400 for my system.
Maybe work on the placement of the sub. Use a frequency generator app and walk the room, testing different frequencies at different locations. You should definitely feel this sub.

Of all the AV purchases this sub is by far the best purchase. It can shake the walls when it wants to and I've only had it at 7 or 8 out of 11.
I'm just saying that my system should sound better and I wish I knew what's the problem.
I know what's not the problem , this sub.
