Why did you remove your comment "The Ridgid inverter might be in my future"?

It is rated 175W. Not enough to power the light?

Inverter rating is fine. Not certain how long a 4ah bat could power the light. decided to research. Any idea on that?

I have the same inverter, and was wondering the same. Guess I will find out for sure when I receive the light.

Using the formula: Watt Hours = Amp Hours ร— Voltage, it appears the 4Ah battery is 72Wh and will run the light about one hour, but that probably depends on the efficiency of the inverter.

Can the tripod also be used for a laser level?

Can it be dimmed? I want it for my small room studio. Also anyone know what would be required to power these from a battery? Could something like a Ryobi One Wall socket batter inverter do it?

Anyone checked the wattage of this? Curious for portable battery pack usage purposes.
From review on Wal-mart:

And, the light has a handle on top for easy carrying. It's got a 5 foot cord. And uses only 61 watts! Everything is sturdy and good quality. Easy to use. I absolutely love this light, so would gladly recommend it to others.

edit: nevermind. I thought this one was battery OR cord like the Ridgid version. Though looking at this now I see the Ridgid version [homedepot.com] is way smaller (and no tripod)

Has anyone used a Ridgid-Hart battery adapter? I'd love to be able to use this with my existing Ridgid batteries but I've only found a couple adapters and not much in the way of reviews.

Just got mine. Coming from a 1000w halogen work light, this seems very close to the same brightness when painting a room (which makes sense). This also is very slim and stores very easily. I'm pleased and can now get rid of my bulky hot halogen.

The led housing is all plastic. It might be worth $45,not more though. Be better if it was a hybrid with battery power also. Will try it tonight on the 24x36 ft deck and decide then to keep or return.
