You should check out Vortex Radar on the Viofo dashcams (and others) he has reviewed and suggests. He is not a shill. This is not the latest info but a good place to start. I ended up getting the Viofo A229 Pro with better resolution than the Viofo A229 Plus model he suggests. I paid an extra $100 to go to better resolution.

Linus media group did a good video on dash cams awhile back noting that they almost all use the same sensor/camera with a proprietary shell. It seems crazy not to just buy the $20 temu version all made in the same China factory. I assume this is still the case but please correct me if I'm wrong.

The cheap ones tend to die in more extreme weather. The common complaint involves the cameras overheating in the summer.

1080p is almost useless even in broad daylight. It hardly can read the numberplate clearly from a fast moving car

I wouldn't trust any reviews from LTT or any of their affiliates. They're an entertainment company (and not a good one either).
