I've had this bike now for 2+ years. I love it. I take the kids on it almost daily to and or from school. We don't put a ton of miles on it, but its used often. We paid 1900 for the bike (then added a ton of accessories).
I ride my two boys around on this daily (3 and 5). Great purchase and got it a bit higher than this price last year. A big part of choosing this vs others is the space for the kids to sit. At 6'3 I didn't want to be sitting on top of them like other brands. My only complaints - wish the seatpost were 1in longer and the brakes are serviceable but not very good. Would absolutely buy again at this price...but would also see what price Aventons are at.
I had the first generation of this bike with the caboose. It worked out well. I carried my kids around the town. That was a blast for them sitting freely in the caboose than being strapped down in a car seat.
In a pinch and besides comfort, could an adult sit on the back ~150 lbs?
In a pinch, yes. I've had people, including my wife (under 150) on there, but be warned most adults find the bumps not so great feeling so I'd save it for when you really need it.

Or 1 Arkansan.
Sadly true of most ebikes
I've had rad bikes since 2018 and that has not been my experience. One call and they ship parts out for free every time I've called.
