I also routinely use 2 squares to wipe down my side of the counter after shaving and it does not come apart for that task, even though there is some water on the counter before wiping it down for stray clippings. I'm using what's in this thread, the non-commercial Ultra Clean (single ply) Cottonelle variant.

FWIW, I would put these up there in strength with any other good TP. Although it would be great for someone like Project Farm to do a comparison, I bet Cottonelle would fare well.
