Just fyi I purchased these new on Amazon maybe 10 months ago. I found the noise cancelling to be unimpressive and the headphones uncomfortable, causing pain on my ears from the pressure of them pushing on them. I would not recommend these even for free, unless you have a very small head and do not care about effective noise cancelling.
Great seller, easy returns if there are any issues. Tried this pair at Best Buy and this is a great sounding pair for the price. They're no XM4/XM5 but at 1/4 (or less) of the price they certainly come close enough. Sounds more neutral than the XB910n, but still has enough bass to be fun without getting muddy. If I was in the market for over-ears this would be an immediate buy for me.
Also this seller's Sony stuff always arrives in pristine condition, I think Sony liquidates extra stock directly to them so literally all of the 11 Sony products I've gotten from them have felt indistinguishable from new condition other than including no box/manual.
I just bought this last week and these are the most lightweight headphones that I have ever owned and I have owned a lot from HifiMan, Shure, Grado, Sennheiser and more. It is actually very comfortable. It does not sound as good my B&W Px7 s2, but this is very comfortable. Noise Cancelling is also not as good as my XM4. For this price, I would not hesitate to buy another one for my kids.

I have the Q45s and I love their noise cancelling. Good sound, great battery life.
I have a Anker Q30 and Q35, and I like them for the price. But the headband of my Q30 already broke apart near the left cup and I'm expecting the same to happen to my Q35 at some point. I feel its cheap plastic material and design makes it not sturdy even though I'm gentle with them. I'm wondering if the Sony's or Q45's are better built
I'm thinking of switching from earbuds to headphones in sauna. Does anyone have experience on how these would hold up in sauna heat (180-200F)? My Skullcandy earbuds have been a trooper in the sauna, and take a lot of heat abuse but keep going. Most other brands haven't survived the sauna heat. But it comes with 2y warranty so it's tempting.
Are these better than the Skullcrushers that were posted?
Sound wise, yes absolutely. If all you want is sheer haptic bass without much care for mids and highs, then try the Skullcandy. But the bass on this Sony is more than adequate especially after you EQ it.

Yeah, I was also not impressed by the ambient sound and noise canceling mode. My comparison was to the galaxy bud 2 pros, which makes a loud area whisper quiet
