I bought these and im very happy with them. I workout a lot more because the design on these makes it easy to change weight compared to my old dumbbells before.

I got the dumbells the last time this deal was posted and wished I had gotten the stand. Glad I got a secondary chance.
Get a stand. There are no truer words. I had to make a stand for a second set of PB EXPs during the great shortage. It looks like a pulpit, but one perk is, I made it "spec" to the height of the Block, above the floor, while in my hand, so they're super easy to rack. Praise be.

I'm so close to getting a third set. Great deal on a phenomenal product.

People who use more than 35lbs, seriously impressive. I pretty much fall over when I only got 1 in hand.

We bought expansions mostly for squats and bench.

Work in your garden. I do manual digging, pulling weeds by hand, to grow my vegetables.

It is great work, no need to buy these dumb bells and you save money too on free vegetables!

Am I smart or not?
Depends on your goals. I work in my yard a ton and it's more productive than running around my neighborhood. However, I like to be strong. Like able to handle 80lb bags of concrete or roofing shingles. Stuff that doesn't happen every weekend but is nice to be ready for.

That require normal weight training with heavy weights. Do both!

These are also great to keep you ready in the off season. So when summer hits you can launch kids into the deep end at will!

3...2...1... Blast off!

Is there anything in this version that's lacking compared to the newer version of these?

How do these compare to the Elite USA?
I prefer the Sport handle to the Elite because the top is more "open" but I also have Elite handles and they're not that bad. It's just that sometimes your wrist hits the guard on some movements. If you have big hands/wrists, you're probably better off with these.

However, these are contoured handles and the Elites are not if that makes a difference to you.

Are you sure? I don't think I've seen the expandable for $200 except open box.

They are available at $220 a lot though.
I think I bought mine at $240 but no complaints at all even at that price. I got Stage 3 for $90 on Amazon at one point so it balanced out.

They should be better as the bowlfex is mainly plastic. That's why I've had my eye on them for awhile.

I've acquired all three stages, stand and bench. Love this system!

In for one. One interesting side note: if you strap magnets to 2.5 lb plates or 1.25 fractionals, you can have 5-50lbs in 2.5 increments. Just need some magnets from home Depot and electrical tape as seen here: https://www.reddit.com/r/homegym/...ng_easier/

And if you consider how sturdy these dumbbells are with the weight increment, the only issue is that it skips a 2.5 increment every 15 lbs

Fortunately it's just shortened. When I clicked on using my desktop it went to the thread. You can search for "diy platemate alternative for microloading".

I only wanted to show that there are workarounds for that 2.5 lb gap that makes this deal >100$ cheaper than competitors for maybe 20 bucks of parts

I sold my bowflex 552s that I owned for 13 years to get these. If you need more than 50 lbs, then you can't beat these for the price. The only downside is you can't fit two hands on a single handle, and you can't easily grab the outside of a dumbbell to do something like a goblet squat. Pros definitely outweigh the cons.

This is extremely tempting, but I have reserved the Reppin Peppins at $899.99. These are about $500 cheaper with all of the add on weights. If I add a knurled handle to it, which costs about $120, I'm still saving close to $380.

Can anyone weigh in (pun intended) on how these feel? I've never had adjustable dumbbells or used Power Blocks for that matter, but I'm concerned about the cage design. It feels like it would restrict movements I would like to do with them compared to the Peppins. Goblet squat, tricep extensions behind the head just to new a couple.

I was going to buy the non EXP when they went on sale previously, but I found a really nice used set of BowFlex for $150. My question is, does anyone know if the BowFlex will fit on this stand or can provide the dimensions of the stand where the dumbbells rest. Thanks.

I bought these during woot's last sale. I noticed an issue with mine. Customer service responds once every 24 hours so it became a week long process. I told them some weights were bent so when selecting 70lbs, the 80lb plate would loosely hang. They offered me 20$ to keep them. I declined then they told me I needed to restart my chat since they only correspond by email and I wasn't the main amazon account holder. It's been two weeks and I haven't made progress. I am considering complaining to Amazon since they own them.

To be clear, the 80lb weight fell off and hit the stand.
