Can't compare to the Xerox, but I would highly recommend looking around and going with the basic Brother HL-H2XXX model. It is a greyscale and tough as a brick. A lot of people will comment on them, but I have one and it prints perfect after 5k prints, then sitting in a storage room for 4 years.

For Brother, 2 tips... The last letters in the model are the features. C = Color, D = Duplex, W = Wireless. Also, this is more of a Windows tip, Windows will install a generic driver for most laser printers that prints one page at a time very slowly. Install the manufacturer driver, go into device manager and delete the printer, then restart/scan for changes and the proper driver will be set up.

I have this printer and got it for the same price a long time ago (3/23 in fact). The wifi setup is a little funky but once set up, it works great. This is not worth more than the $80 sale price as, has been mentioned, the Brother printers are in the same price range and have a decent rep.

I bought this as a backup printer when it was like $50 a few months ago. The print quality isn't great. Anything grayscale will come out way, way too light. I read there were issues using it wirelessly with the app. Do your own research, but I still like to just plug it in via USB cord.

I also had issues getting it to play nice with Linux. Windows setup went through automatically though. This model is kind of old so support ran out awhile ago. This is probably leftover inventory.

I suppose I'm satisfied for the price I paid. But I don't think this is a deal for this particular model.
