Hmm. Laminated spruce top, but made by Yamaha and with a Yamaha headstock (but still with the obnoxious "Urban" on it). Concert size, so not huge. Probably a pretty playable guitar to leave near the sofa or to take on a trip. The laminated top will be more resistant to humidity variations for sure.
Just got it from my local Costco to help my kid get through the summer break without driving us crazy. It was placed right at the entrance and I couldn't stop myself 😂
I was going to post the deal. Glad I checked existing posts before I did.

Now the kid just has another tool to drive you crazy with!

Tbh, I've enjoyed playing this whenever I walk by it in the warehouse. That said, totally thought the guitar stand and came with it 😅
Even at a 100, not sure I'd bother with this vs just buying a better Yamaha line (apx or another with a piezo) for not much more used. That said, 100$ and 90 day warranty, so 89 days after you/your kid never touch it, consider returning it 😈

I got my kid a 3/4 Yamaha used online (can't remember which retailer) for $75. It came with a new gig bag and some crappy accessories. It's perfect for him. My fat fingers have trouble but for $75 it's great. Much better than my first guitar for sure.
Pretty playable from when I messed with it a bit at my local Costco. Fretwork was solid as you can expect from a Yamaha (especially at $99). I love Yamaha acoustics, this would be a solid buy for a beginner but like others have said, it's not much more to get a better (used) Yamaha

Same price in club, or cheaper?

Not easily.
I'm pretty sure it's under the clear coat, so you'll have to do some sanding.
At this price, I would just cover it with a sticker or get a Rogue from Guitar Center.

However, this should have nothing to do with removing his name from a guitar.
