Be careful with Hisense and buying their premium sets. I and many others got burned badly when their sets started dying en masse about 2 years after purchase. Well documented and yet Hisense did nothing for customers thst purchased these $1000+ TVs. Stick to the sun $400 and you won't be as pissed when it dies.

Yes I obviously had a horrible experience with them. Take what you will.

I paid about 800 for mine almost 2 years ago. and I do not regret it... it looks like an oled but it's not.

Colors and all really pop, and I love that it has a subwoofer-built in.

Worth mentioning, this is the new N series that just came out. U8N, U7N, etc

As of today, possibly another $50 back on this purchase today. I saw this "reward" for Plus members on the website:

Im looking at this for an outdoor space (in a weatherproof enclosure). Peak brightness is great, but does anyone have real world experience with reflection handling and viewing angle?

I have the 75 U8K in my covered patio and it's been great. If it's like 5 PM and the sun is low in the sky and shining directly onto the TV then it's hard to see but I don't think there is a TV on the market that can handle sign shining directly on it outdoors. Highly recommend for that use case
