if u building a new build u can find similar price on current gen tech. yes its not gonna be high end as this one but even a lower end will out perform and out last this platform. this ddr4 platform is the last cycle of its generations. with the new platform you looking at years of future performance upgrade.
Please help with a recommended setup for a new built. Not super powerful but want to be able to work in autocad. Thank you
Unless have AM4 CPU already its not worth buying into last gen that's 4 years old now. B650 ATX motherboards can be bought for $150 and they will be releasing 9000 Series CPUs later this year.

Computer technology is improving at a snails pace along side value. For instance you can get a GTX 1660 super for about $100. For 20 more FPS you pay $300 for an RTX 4060 with the same TDP. I don't blame people for waiting things out with last Gen. You get a lot of bang for the buck. Gen 4 doesn't feel nor is it outdated today. Cellphones aren't improving either. The technological improvements are much slower now.

AutoCAD requirements are very low considering current "gaming" builds. Just my 2 cents here but shop around for a decent dell. You should be able to find something in the $500 area that will serve you for the next 5 years.

If I were you, I would make a post on PC part picker. I'd tell them exactly what you need it for and people will piece together builds for you. And PC part picker will link all known sites that have it in stock so you can sort through which places you trust and have parts the cheapest.
Btw, check to see if there is a microcenter store near you. they will always have the best deals on Mobo+ram+CPU combos. it will drastically change the bang for buck you get from a build if one is relatively close.

AM4 is 7-8 year old tech. But yeah I agree unless one is sitting on a AM4 CPU and DDR4 it doesn't make sense.

If you're going from 40fps to 60fps, that's a big deal....

The main difference between the V1 and V2, is an added USB type C gen 3.2 port and added SATA ports - V2 has 6 SATA ports.

Yes. I have 2 NVME populated and an SATA SSD.
