I bought a pair like a year ago on sale and find them to be too large in basically every dimension. Like, they fit my foot fine, but they're too wide, too tall, stick out the back too far, they just look almost like oversized shoes for some reason. For 40 bucks a pair to throw on to run some errands they're fine, but I wouldn't say I like them and I would never pay $60+ for them.

Why are NMDs on sale often? Out of style or something else?

I don't recommend the V3. I bought them thinking they would feel similar to the original Nmd r1s. The tongue is long and at the top it's plasticky and digs into the front of the ankle. I wore them for a day and by the time I got home at night there was a bruise from it pushing at the same spot every step the whole day.

Yeah V2 and V1's for me

these feel stiff and less flexible or comfortable

But looking at the lime green one, the tongue looks to be softer material?

wonder if these are slightly improved over the black ones I had that matches what you are mentioning

Yep, like others have said, NMD v1 (maybe called NMD R1 v1 sometimes) are the "classic" NMDs you think of when you hear NMD. These v3s are very stiff and WAY less comfortable than v1s. The boost is obviously still super comfortable, but they're very rigid and the upper just feels weird when you wear them.

I have similar experience with PLR Boosts. They just are big looking shoes. I am a bigger guy (6'2, 245) so they dont look funny on me, but when I see them next to my nikes and even some bulky UA shoes I have for yard work, they are just so much bigger looking.

That's funny...I've had probably 10 pairs of NMDs over the years and I find the V3s to look TINY. They make me look like I have tiny feet and I wear 10.5 so pretty normal. The pair I have fits fine...they just look small. You can see the same in the video/gif on the product page. Guy looks like he has tiny feet but it's just because the shoes stop abruptly at the front or something.

V3s are just super weird in general. Get V1s if you want NMDs.

As well they lost a bunch of sales dropping Kanye. The nmds actually became popular from Kanye wearing them just one time. Everyone wanted those all white ones after he wore them. Maybe adidas is stuck with a bunch they expected to get rid of when people couldn't afford or get their limited Yeezys?

Will give these a shot. I've got a pair of Ultraboost 21's, and I find them far too tight in the toe box (even after sizing up), which cause blisters to the top of the little toe.
