YMMV i purchased 2 and was able to Bypass port requirement it only needs text verification to order. After getting device activate on total website click activate at top of page>One you've purchased through Total Wireless>I want a newer number. Plan is tied to phone IMEI when activating.

That said I have been burnt enough times and learnt the hard way to stay away from them. At least with Metro the system rejects orders beforehand. With Tracfone the issues happen after you get the phone…if something goes wrong in activation the customer service outrigjt lies and wastes your time .
That was NOT my case a few months ago, I needed to talk to CSR for unlocking.
The camera is good but not splendid. The screen looks good but has lagged touch register/none-register issue. Overall this phone is buggy and not worth the MSRP of $699. $100 seems like a fair price if you don't have other choice.

I've noticed lot of them asking if the unlocked phone works on other carriers. Just a heads up for them as to be mindful to what they are signing up for.

Metro is on GSM (Tmobile bought it). I bought A54 from Metro. They unlock it after 180 days and I am using it on Visible 5G i.e. CDMA network.
People told me same thing GSM based A54 won't work on CDMA MVNO.
I want to hear from people with real experience but we have to wait for few months but it should work on at&t and tmobile (their mvno may put some sort of restriction)

Mine seems very smooth. I would think that some people have different tasks or expectations from a phone, so their mileage my vary.
I use it mainly for productivity - voice calls, track the weather, shop ebay, take pictures. I don't watch movies/video or game on it - I have better suited devices for that.
Other confirmation from chat:
1. Order can be placed now and activated after receiving the phone. I asked for activation after 30 days and they were fine.
2. Phone auto unlocks after 60 days of service
3. Can switch service plan after the first month to a lower tier if required.

It's their policy & doesn't matter if phone is capable, no androids will activate on their network using esim - it's physical sim only until something changes.
