Previously I also did a lot of Metro and Tracfone deals to give to friends and family.
That said I have been burnt enough times and learnt the hard way to stay away from them. At least with Metro the system rejects orders beforehand. With Tracfone the issues happen after you get the phone…if something goes wrong in activation the customer service outrigjt lies and wastes your time .
I saw quite a few comments on "unlocked automatically after 60 days"
That was NOT my case a few months ago, I needed to talk to CSR for unlocking.
I hate slickdeals. I have 7 phones lying around from the various Total and Metro deals. Why do I buy them? I don't know. Why is it so addictive? I don't know.
I guess those 7 are getting another new friend.

What is the cheapest and/or easiest way to establish a new phone number with account at another carrier in order to bring the number over to Total by Verizon for this deal?
I posted and did the recent iPhone 11 deal. Someone posted in that thread that you can use your normal number to verify transfer but then bring any other number once you go to activate. So I bought 2 T-Mobile numbers off of eBay to transfer. It worked great. You can also use Google voice. Search for iPhone 11 to find that deal with a lot more details.

Don't worry. You can always take them to an EcoATM and get less than half of less than half of less than half of less than half of less than half for them.
Just an FYI for those who plan to unlock this phone and use it on REGULAR Verizon (postpaid) service. ONLY the Verizon carrier-branded Samsung A54's have band n260 for 5G mmWave coverage. This, like the Metro by T-Mobile A54's, have missing bands on regular Verizon service.
And I would also check to see if this version A54 even has C-Band (n77). It probably does, but I would make certain as C-Band is VERY important for Verizon 5G data.

Yeah, it probably does.
I really can't imagine Total by Verizon selling a phone that is missing critical Verizon bands. I highly doubt they are pushing greymarket/non-USA models.

How can you check and know for sure what bands a cell phone supports? In my case android.
