My Aldi Ferrex emptied in like 30min
Cool! Thanks for this tip! You got me a cool $50 rebate.
A lawnmower, a weedwacker, and a leaf blower.
Within a year, it disappeared... no replacement batteries, no longer available, no information as to why.
Still using all three; all three work great, but I guess they're junk once the batteries stop holding charge.
The battery in the kit is pretty worthless for either task of blowing or trimming. It's only a 2ah battery so it shouldn't be a surprise but I still feel these batteries are far weaker than my Ryobi's or even my M12s. The trimmer is okay and functions well enough. Doesn't extend very far but does the job. The blower is terrible and weak. It could barely remove clippings from my driveway without having to do a couple passes. Blower kills the small battery fast too, like really fast 5-10 minutes max.
The real crux is the battery system. These Craftsman batteries are expensive. $120 for a 4ah battery. That's more than a comparable Ryobi and in the ballpark of M18s. Why buy into the Craftsman system with low end tools when the Ryobi or Milwaukee systems are far better and cheaper or comparable?
that blower blows sir
