beware folks, 2 times in the last 10 days I had to live chat with customer service, couldn't receive or send text messages saying basically I was spamming or that I had insufficient funds. When I asked live chat person why this continues to happen, they had no answer for me literally. You get what you pay for!!! I just activated a year card 2 weeks ago and this nonsense continuing to happen
$47.50 10GB 6 Month Infimobile Plan on Amazon ($7.92/month) (savings of 5%) https://a.co/d/23q27em

$66.50 20GB 6 Month Plan ($11.08/month) https://a.co/d/3gKWxb7

*SIM card must be activated within 60 days of purchase. Infimobile operates on the Verizon cellular network and does not have priority data. Hotspot is an extra $5/month.
Almost 3 months with this service and speeds have been good.

Why it's still $126 for me.
I don't know, but I just went to their site and it was the first thing I saw plastered across the top of the main page - Memorial Day sale, 10GB/mo., $99 for 1 year. Or try code INFIMAY50.

I got the last deal - I think it was 6 months for 5GB/month and just $20?

Works great as a second phone. I'd take it for $40 for the 5G/month whole year, I don't use that much data on the 2nd phone.

Example: I'm going to a large music festival next month. There will be maybe 100,000 people packed into an area where the towers normally only have to serve a tiny fraction of that number. They've upgraded service there over the years but some carriers barely work some of the time, for data especially. Last year, Verizon Prepaid data was spotty for me, and it was normally great pretty much everywhere. You probably wouldn't want to be on a Verizon MVNO there. Without network priority when things get congested or over-crowded, you may not have a good time.

I've been happy with Mint recently but considering a backup for the trip, or possibly switching my main number if I find the right 6 month or 1 year deal. Infimobile is very tempting.
Very few MVNOs have the data priority, especially the ones that are not owned by an underlying carrier. US Mobile and MobileX (some plan) on Verizon, Consumer Cellular on AT&T, not sure about T-Mobile ones.

Yes, very true.
Infimobile would be a good backup/second choice for me for the festival scenario, since it's on Verizon and I use Mint on T-Mobile. If either of them works well with the crowd I'll be good, and one carrier or another usually does okay. I may see what US Mobile is offering currently, and I wonder what the deal is with Visible, since they're owned by Verizon. Heck, TM just bought Mint, so that might make a difference. Having priority helps of course, but nothing will help in times of extreme congestion.

As far as I know though, the only times I've ever had trouble related to network congestion were at music festivals that dramatically increase the local population for a few days a year over what traffic the towers normally need to serve. Never had a problem in urban areas because the networks are usually built out appropriately.

US Mobile has the first month free when you BYOD. I am not with them, but researching where to move my family from at&t, as they keep hiking the prices for a few bucks per line through some made-up fees, but it adds up.

Thanks for the clarity and the finger for the people being d*** about every deal and priority bs. Mint is the worst what i have used until now
What is your issue with Mint? A few years ago, I had connectivity problems in one area only, but that happened to be where I worked at the time, and at home, which didn't matter because I have good wifi. I switched back a few months ago and Mint has been perfect - quick transfer, no hassles, and good signal everywhere I've been, including the one area where I used to have problems. The discounted period is almost up so I'm looking at other deals, but I may just stay with Mint for now.

Thanks. But what plan is that after the free trial? It says 30 GB but there is no 30GB plan listed otherwise, just 35GB. I'm considering that one though, $29 monthly for one line, I think.

Nice to see downward pressure on prices. I've seen this carrier repeatedly on popular deals here on SD. Race to the bottom is getting interesting. Helium, lexvor, good2go, mobile x, and visible are my current benchmark plans.

I think they upped the data from 30GB to 35GB. They have a really great forum on Reddit, so you can check it out

Forgot to mention that I have a monthly 1.5GB through MobileX, as an auxiliary eSIM that I use at some places where at&t has a bad signal, something like $6.5 a month. Also, I got the Infoomobile sim, $20 for 6 months. Not sure if I want to activate it as a physical sim to put in my travel laptop or an eSIM for my phone. Decisions, decisions

Thanks, I'd never heard of MobileX. Nice backup option! I like being able to choose what I want for a minimal plan. Their other plans aren't bad either.

This is giving me ringplus vibes. For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, they offered dirt cheap plans, then one day they just shut down, and everyone who prepaid lost their credits.
Loved RingPlus!!! My credits transferred over to Ting. Now I'm with Mint- Have till Aug to decide whether or not to stay with them. I think that I am.....
