Amazing how YMMV this is. I called around my area and found two stores with the C3 still available, both are selling for the ongoing sale price ($1299). I think I'd pass out if I found one for $800.
Edit - two regional stores (Dover DE and Princeton NJ) still have the C3, still selling for $1299.99. I'm sure the day I don't call is the day they'll drop to $900 and be sold out within hours.

Mine had it at 1200. Could try my luck to see if the manager can throw additional discounts to match your price. I'm also in WA.
