This has 2 slots, 1 is populated with a 16GB stick, you can remove it and add two sticks of any capacity you need.

Pretty good deal. Pretty sure with the 4000 series 4070 more like a 4060 and 4060 more like a 4050 but it is what it is.

I just watched a review about how the 4070 performs worse than the 3070 on 10 out of 30 games tested.

True. However, the reason is because the 4070 has lower TGP than the 3070Ti which in turn means it benefits from higher efficiency and less heat so the 4070 can be put in slimmer laptops. Also, the 4070 has frame generation which, yeah, only certain games can take advantage of, but definitely nice to have. Pricewise, maybe a 4060 would be worth considering if the savings is more than $200. But $1211 for a 4070 laptop (with a Ryzen 7 8845HS and 1GB NVMe) is a pretty good deal when jumping up to a 4080 puts you over $2000. Only perceivable downside is the 1x16GB RAM stick; 2x8GB (dual channel) might have better performance.

Of note...I found it interesting/annoying that the specs on the Lenovo product page, for WLAN, says:

Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX & Bluetooth® 5.1 or above

Message them, they should be able to refund you the difference, customer service is pretty good these days

I did. They can't refund any difference a coupon code would make; only the listed base price difference. They said I can return it and place a new order however, which is what I'll do. UPS just delivered it. I'll slap the return label on the box and drop it off at The UPS Store.
