Decent knife for under the $20 mark. 8Cr13MoV steel doesn't hold an edge long but it does have a nice hardness to it, so it will be easy to sharpen and it's tough for many everyday uses. The hardness will prevent you from chipping the blade if your being somewhat rough, like chopping downward on a stick to sharpen it. Prying near the point will still cause a failure, but that is with most knives and this is too small for that kind of work anyway. Proper sharpening will yield a fine cutting edge, maybe not as sharp as some more exotic steels, but good enough for any common task. Still sharp enough to hurt you if your friend goes all stabby stabby cause you ate the last slice of Papa Johns.

I like this knife for the slimness and lightweight..... and Amazon must be slipping, they actually let me order it for delivery to NY.....
