Fastback 1505 with the bit driver is the way to go IMO ($5 more, not currently on sale)... https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../320559025
Because it's 5 dollars off the regular price of 19.97...it is also the price it drops down to during the holidays.

That's nice, I've never seen that one before.

This one's main knife does have a metal body though. Figured I'd point that out as it'd be easy to overlook when weighing features.

There's a dedicated slot for a spare blade in the 1505... and how does the bit.. 'suck', exactly? For me, it has come in handy multiple times to get a quick job done without having to run to grab a screwdriver...

Absolutely love the 1505. Bought a second one; they basically replaced my pocket knife as my EDC. I find myself using the bit as much or more than the blade.

I can't recall if it was the same brand, but Lowes has 3 pack for 15 and two for 7/8.

I recall picking up 2 under 10$ in the last year or so during a deal.
If i recall correctly it was home depot. But that was last year, & haven't seen that deal since. So i reckon 14.97 is a good price.

I just picked up a white lock-back knife under 8.

Could be this one

Lol I got them, they're pretty nice. I'd say 95% functions the same. No blade storage but it open with a flick of the wrist and easy to change out the blades just like milwaukees.

I have a fastback and I have a harbor freight knockoff of it

get the fastback, it's worth the difference. Great utility blade. Have been through many types over the years.

Do those kobalt ones open if you push the button in all the way?

I have these reds and one thing I don't like is pushing the button in all the way locks it so it won't flip, and getting the pressure right is tough with work gloves on.

Works perfectly when depressed all the way. I got that deal and love them.

Every utility knife with a "quick change" mechanism on the front of the blade holder allows the blade to "quick change" itself when making long cuts through anything with friction. Are these really any different because they are red?

Why are so many people hung up on the color?

These are great knives because of their high quality and flawlessly excellent functionality. I have half a dozen of this style of utility knife in a whole bunch of colors, but the Milwaukee one is the one I grab because it works so well.

I don't have much experience in utility blades but I finally upgraded from one of those cheapo ones where you extend out the blade with your thumb and break off pieces, to this set last time it was on sale and it's so worth it. I've broken down probably 200 boxes at this point with these knives and they feel so good in the hand. Replacement blades are cheap too.

I think red is a much better color than black for anything that can be dropped on the ground. I'm alluding to rabid slavering enthusiasm over the brand name.

I don't see anyone expressing "rabid slavering enthusiasm over the brand name", but a lot of people who actually use these knives saying that they work really well and are worth the price over cheaper options.

It's not because they're red, but because these work so damn well compared to other options.
I bought the husky ones and they are terrible to open and close. It's so bad that everyone in my family ends up leaving them open instead of closing them. Milwaukee all the way.

The 6-in-1 Fastback (1505) is the one you want. I use it at least a few times everyday. I reach for it more than I do my Benchmade Griptilian and save the Benchmade for more serious tasks. I enjoyed using the bit holder on it more than I used the Philips and flat head tools on my Leatherman Wingman before I lost it. It's also my primary bottle opener now. I've lost 2 of my 6-in-1's and it doesn't hurt the wallet to replace it. It's truly one of the best EDC's one can carry.
