How do these Emotiva AVRs deal w/room correction? Is it generally a flat response? Can you change to follow a Harman Curve if desired?

It has a rather primitive EmoQ room correction which allows for parametric EQ adjustments after the correction is applied. It's not computer based as in Dirac where you simply drag a line. It's going to be a slow and painful process.

You may want to look into JoeNTell (YouTube) room correction app, it can (on paper) create a PEQ output file which you can import into the Emotiva.

Honestly, in my room, I couldn't tell much difference between Dirac corrections when I had my Integra receiver.

I had tried setting it up choosing MC1 in the firestick menu, but it did not identify the MR1L. I will try again and if it does not work will try out the sofabaton, Used to have a harmony remote in the past, which I sold.

There is a new Sofabaton X1S. Make sure you get that one since it has a backlight and a motion sensor.
