No, unfortunately not. Those say "factory refurbished". These can be in comically bad shape and only have a 30 day warranty. The factory refurbished are brand new looking.
Nope. The "factory refurbished" are though, even tho the employees will most likely tell you they're not, because they can't sell you it in-store. You just have to chat support and update the purchase date. I've done it many times over several years.
This "refurbished" marketing trend must be banned. This is also called "USED", accepted as trade-in by various stores, cleaned with spray and sold as-is. Those who consider buying "used" apple macbooks need to read about soldered non repairable SSD's, limited lifetime and failures.
Bought one a couple of days ago, showed visible signs of wear mostly on the bottom of the case - but other then that, no imperfections. The unit we got was originally activated in 2022 and was definitely not eligible for AppleCare+. Not sure why they call this "refurbished" instead of just "used" / "returned" lol
With that said, the battery reports only five cycles.

bought this one about 18 months ago, and using it everyday and rock-solid.
It looked brand new and only had 1-2 charging cycles.

Then you got lucky. Most of the refurbs are well outside the AC+ period, and don't look brand new.
