Do not buy this unless you have your own batteries already. Do not buy ego reconditioned items - the batteries do not come with any additional warranty. I've had four die (one twice), and they won't replace them beyond the one year tool warranty.

Fair enough! Personally, I own a 14" chain saw and backpack blower reconditioned from Acme. I've never had any issues. I've never owned a reconditioned battery from them. I do understand the concern about the battery warranty issue, but since it's $20 more than a reconditioned 18" chain saw I'm ok with the risk. I do have other ego batteries available.

Fair, if you're ok with the reconditioned tool the $20 for a battery is a no brainer. I'm just over their batteries dying, reconditioned or not - the tools themselves seem fine.

This doesn't say how many volts it is. Do all ego tools take the same 56 volt battery?

Yup! All EGO tools use the same 56V batteries albeit of different Ah ratings.

I've heard that a bit on Ego forums. I'm not sure if their newer batteries are failing more often or what is going on. Mine are about 3 years old and never had a problem. That being said, as I find really good deals I'm starting to rotate out the old ones (sell) and replace with new ones and new warranties.

Got mine the other day. Overall no issues with the condition and it seems to work. The tool, charger, and battery seems to have been manufactured in 2021-2022 time frame based on the serial number.

It could mean the battery isn't 100% at its peak anymore, but I used it in my mower and it worked fine.
