$1899 appears to be retail on this TV now. I don't put much value on an extended warranty for an electronics purchase, and I put even less value on the subscriptions. So I think I'd rather get 5% cashback with my Prime Card at Amazon.
Or just wait for additional price drops. I wasn't eligible for the recent 77" LG C3 deal for ~$1700 but that's in my strike range for a 77" OLED.
Why getting thumbs down? Extended warranty from insurance company is literally just like free warranty from your credit card, which most people don't really care nor even know. 1 yr manufacturer+ 2 yrs credit card is enough for most people.
Samsung reliability has gone to shit lately. Bought a Galaxybook and a lowend TV from them and TV arrived DOA. I wouldnt buy a TV from them especially an expensive unit like this.

Feel the same. Had a TV fail and a soundbar fail, and they don't seem to stand behind their products (in my experience). Have been really tempted to get one of these S89/S90C deals lately as I was in the market to replace my 4 year old Samsung Frame (that I could never see anything on in our bright living room), but ultimately pulled the trigger on the 77" G4 for $3k after tax and Amex CB. Not sure it's $1000 better than this TV, but from all the research I did, for a bright room, the G3/G4 with MLA is my best bet. And I just really didn't want to give Samsung any more of my money.

Not sure which credit card you're referring to but there are per claim maximums on warranties and the claim process is not as straightforward as say Allstate or Costco. Also, I'm not sure where you'll get 5 years warranty elsewhere unless you're paying extra. So to be fair we have to compare this deal with other retailers.

They are using cheap delivery service. I ordered couple of appliances from them and one of them was faulty and it was nightmare to get a redelivery after pickup.

Eh, I'd hesitate to say this is the standard retail price just yet as it still comes and goes. This particular promo ends today. One of the advantages for buying at Costco, even if you don't put much value on the warranty, is that it's much easier to return/exchange if you get a bad panel or decide you don't actually like the TV when it arrives.
Anyone with Costco Executive and the Costco credit card would be getting 4% back, which is a difference of only ~$25 compared to Amazon's price. And if anyone has those streaming subscriptions or an Xbox, the value of the free months exceeds that $25 savings.
For me there is just way more peace of mind buying from Costco.

Also can't ignore that the G-series looks hella sexy on the wall with that low-profile mount

Most the cards with the +2 year warranty are also premium cards with the hefty annual fee if I'm not mistaken, so a lot of people are less likely to have them
Pulled the trigger ….gotcha 77 S90C directly from Samsung today after ESPP and chatting with customer service to remove Samsung care plus costed 1685 post taxes in TX . Pick up at local BB . Samsung has warranty of one year . Keeping fingers crossed 🤞

I just bought a 65" S90C too. I paid $1439 USD +tax with free shipping on the Samsung website.
