It's gonna be huge (size wise) and took two years to make. It's much better value than horse armor.

Isn't this expensive for DLC? What's the msrp?
From Software has always delivered a massive amount of content in their DLC for their Souls games and they've always been worth the price.

You might be able to say that their base games are so big that the DLCs are expensive by comparison, but their DLCs are still far better and have more meaningful content than 99% of the base games that other companies are putting out.

You will need the original game to play this DLC. Or get the special edition that contains the base game + the DLC.

Should be a Steam code that gets sent out which you activate on Steam and then access the DLC in game wherever that "quest" is supposed to start up.

And much of they time they've also released a "complete" version that's eventually gone on sale for far less than the DLC originally sold for on its own.

It is expensive for DLC yes, but MSRP is $40. I can't believe I'm saying this as a longtime fan, but I might pass on this, at least until reviews come out and I can get a better feeling for what $40 gets you in DLC these days.

I believe Miyazaki (or someone else in dev team) said this DLC would be "the size of Limgrave" or maybe "bigger than Limgrave". This doesn't tell me much, though. Limgrave is the densely-packed starting area, but geographically, it's fairly small on the world map [mapgenie.io].
I guarantee this will be a quality Fromsoftware product as always. They can say geographically the size of Limgrave, but if the dungeons go 100 levels down that changes things up. If I weren't on PS5, I'd grab this deal.

Talk about perfect timing. I bought the steam version last month and been grinding thru and just neat the last boss last night. Was thinking to start NG+ but now with DLC so close, just gonna roam around and fight the non mandatory bosses and explore more.

This is perfect. Devs are still tight lipped on actual content but Miyazaki has never let players down so this price is a no brainer.

I just clocked over 300 hours into the main game so $30 is nothing considering I'll probably dump another 100 hours at the very mimimum.

Any way to get Elden ring on Xbox or PC for much lower than retail?
I bought steam version for $44 last month from G2A. Just keep looking but now with DLC coming out, I doubt you'll see any deals on the main game anymore.

But even at retail, I highly recommend it. 300 hours here ....

Miyazaki is kwon to underestimate the size of his games. He said the Elden Ring can take like 30 hrs to beat. It turned out to be 200 hrs game!

Any ideas if the bonus gesture will be a separate code?
I may take the plunge if it is. I reckon we can get a good $10 for that gesture if resold.

*Bonus content will be available in-game when the expansion releases.
*The player can also unlock this later in the expansion.

It's seems it's not even bonus content but early access to content.

I had a stint as a PC gamer, but nothing beats the convenience of grabbing an Xbox controller and turning on all your gear, being ready to game in seconds with a single button press.

BTW, I just started Dragons Dogma 2 and it is pretty excellent while waiting for this.

It's FromSoftware's biggest expansion ever and took 2.5 years so I think it's fair to expect a seriously beefy expansion. I feel pretty confident it'll warranty the $40 price tag.

Has anyone had experience pre ordering off newegg? I have concerns with the small print staying will ship on release. Obviously these are digital codes but if I did not get the code TILL release day I would be pissed. Most codes are sent on places like GMG a day or two early so people can preload and be ready for launch in their correct regions. Thoughts?

** Update** I called Newegg their policy is to NOT release keys until release day which is a no-go for me as that would negate any ability to preload or play early given that I am on the West Coast. This is fine for those not in a big hurry but there is no telling what time keys will be released day of. FYI
