This is one of the best Knipex tools I own as a homeowner. At this price I'm considering a second one because I love it so much. I don't use it daily at home, obviously, but get so much satisfaction using it and that makes it worth the splurge for me.

IDK why would someone spend a ton of money on non-verifiably genuine product, while similar and even superior tools are sold at a fraction of that price.
Tools are tools, they are meant to be used, not showcased.

I have this and the much cheaper Milwaukee that looks similar. Both are amazing tools and probably my two most used pliers for residential electrical work. The Knipex blades are more durable, but the Milwaukee is still absolutely worth getting and will be fine for homeowners. If using for work regularly, get this Knipex.
I have the Milwaukee one and while I do like it, the cutting blade chipped when cutting wire during the second or third use. Been going fine since then but it's the main reason I'm considering this knipex.

I think they are just saying Amazon has the risk of being counterfeit because of binning.

Not sure if these are worth 3 times the price of https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BKJPD8JW in terms of functionality - I understand the German steel and all.....

Milwaukee has lifetime warranty at HD - No questions asked, use it. This is a prime reason that no one even comes close to the most valuable service called "warranty" at HF.

Well, these Knipex probably won't break on you in the middle of a job.. which can be one hell of a headache AND lost time & money.

Furthermore, there's actual warranty support. If you want to 'cheap out', go for the Milwaukee so you at least have a convenient way to warranty stuff besides amazon brands' "good luck past 30 days!"

The words you used "probably won't break" is the key :-)

Any tool will break if you abuse it hard enough, so I'd never definitively say a tool won't break... but the quality of (forged) steel on the Knipex makes such a thing far less likely.

In most hands, these are 'buy it for life' tools - that's what you're paying for with Knipex.. not to mention just how nice they are to use vs your typical cheap version.
