Lol, Costco brand at Amazon... These are no doubt very close to expiration, which sometimes doesn't matter... But with nuts, they go rancid due to the oils. Beware, only buy if you call consume very quickly.

You could freeze them. When I purchase 2 or 3 lbs., I put them in several quart freezer bags and eat them over a period of months.

Just eat them all in one day.

Surprised to hear that. We've bought two bags now and they are fine. And my SO is very sensitive to rancid flavors and won't eat things that are off. I'm less sensitive so I've had to finish off several things she won't eat so it doesn't go to waste.

As mentioned above, the bag I got from Amazon was 10+ months before the exp date (but stored in the fridge that will last much longer than that anyway).
Is it safe to eat rancid nuts?

Last time around I ordered these they cancelled my order. The delivery date isn't until the 17th so I'm not falling for that trick again.

Of course. It's just the oils oxidizing.

Mine delivered. It did take over a month but they did show up.

Would stay away from Sam's...got them last time and they were rancid...have read the same on earlier posts on the Costco ones sold by Amazon....would buy directly from Costco and not try to save a few dollars to risk it...my 2 cents
I've never had an issue with nuts from Sam's. But come the day that I do, Sam's can give me my money back. Easy peasy.

I bought from local Costco 2 weeks ago for $7.99 and I can verify the expiration date before I buy. Good deal if you are not a Costco member though.

The Costco brand is higher quality vs Sam's Club brand. Sam's uses Walmart vendors which are of lower quality.

I have an unopened 2 years old expired cooking oil big bottle. I was planning to throw it out.
Now I would use it for cooking. You just save me some money.

I exclusively buy them from Sam's club because all the Kirkland ones I've bought from Costco tasted rancid. Been eating them for years.
We get it. You're a Sam's Club loyalist.

No need to resort to ad-hominem fallacies - we're not in kindergarten and willful ignorance is to nobody's benefit. I have both memberships and buy from whichever place has the best for each item after making direct comparisons. I buy Kirkland laundry detergent but Member's Mark paper towels.

Eating oxidized oil may be associated with cancer.
