Although you can get a N100 box with a smaller footprint, you may not be able to upgrade the ram or wifi card. I ran into that myself and decided to return it for that reason. I think each has their own strengths.
Most of the N100 boxes are barebones, so you're probably looking at $250 to get it fully running.
Over long term use, though, you're saving a ton on electricity.

Even so, as others have pointed out, the Dell here has a big raw performance advantage. Also, these cheap N100 boxes are mostly from companies that provide limited/no long term support, whereas Dell is quite good about providing firmware updates and other updates as new security exploits arise, even for machines that are older.
N100 lacks the high cpu power that gamers will want. However, for those just streaming a video from a H.266 website, it will be a highly cost effective, low power CPU.

Passmark for 9100t is 5442
Passmark for n100 is 5547
The thing I dont like about the N100 boxes is they are mostly straight from chinese no name manufacturers. MSI does make an n100 minipc for $130, but missing RAM, OS and HD so definitely not comparable in price unless you have stuff laying around and dont mind fiddling with OS (linux or sketchy windows key)

I am curious about these Pc differences and just never did the math
If you are running a plex server and only streaming 1-2 hours per day, you might not even notice a power savings. However if you are torrenting or running processes 24/7, then the savings might add up. If you figure 15w savings with an N100, that works out to $22 yearly savings per year in electricity assuming the average electricity cost of 16.7 cents/kW.

The other person is wrong about the barebones systems. I'm not sure why people are upvoting that BS.
AliExpress has one for $117 but I don't think I can post links for that website here. The Beelink one has Crucial memory while the AliExpress one might have less reliable RAM and SSD.
Make sure to reinstall Windows if you go down the cheap N100 mini PC route.
If you are looking at the TDP of the CPU and thinking that is a good measure of how "efficient" a CPU is, you are wrong. That number only tells you what a CPU could potentially draw when fully loaded. It does not cover idle power nor does it account for the rest of the components within a system that draw power (motherboard, RAM, storage, power supply, etc). Nobody runs just a CPU.
I personally wouldn't bother with the N100 or N305. Yah, you might find something more efficient, but you are definitely going to have to do a lot of research and you'll most likely never get the level of support you would from buying a Dell and you certainly won't be able to find the same number of parts easily purchasable online.
FYI: Power efficiency numbers came from: https://www.servethehom
