Can also run off the car 12V (lighter) connection in case you don't have a battery on hand when you need it.

This thing is amazing, used it several times and will pump up any tire and barely uses any battery power. Just set the dial to the number you want and it will pump it up and then stop when done.

I had one of these and sold it after having unreliable results from the gauge time and time again. If, for example, you set it to 45 PSI on a tire it will ramp up and it thinks it hits that target and shuts off but the gauge will then show the reading drop down to ~39psi. Then you have to start it again to hit target and it might drop to 41-42...then you have to start it again. I'd set it at 4-5 higher than what I wanted to get close enough. This was a consistent issue when both inflating my cars low-profile 245/40/18 tires and my trucks 265/70/17 balloon tires.

Yes it is faster than most at inflating and the battery life is decent from what I can tell but it is VERY loud compared to my Ryobi, Milwaukee and Hart inflators.

This thing is awesome. With a couple teenage drivers, I have to top off car tires all winter. This is so much easier than getting my compressor out. You can set the desired pressure and it automatically shuts off when that pressure is reached so you don't have to constantly check to see if the tires are full. If you have Ridgid tools and already own a couple batteries, this is a great addition.

Of the fourteen (14) Ridgid tools that I own, this is my least favorite. I would never pay $59 for this thing ... knowing what I know. The tool is loud and not very accurate. The air connector is very difficult to connect to the tire/ schrader valve. It takes too long to top off.
You must not have the caulk gun...by far the worst Ridgid tool.

You are correct ... I do not. I will have to pick one up the next time I am in the mood to buy a crappy tool.

Use battery adapter. I have this inflator and I use Milwaukee battery with it.
What's the part# to the Milwaukee adapter?

There's no part. Just search Amazon or eBay there are so many of them.

Love this tool, bought about 3 years ago.

This tool has been great any time I've needed it. Easy to use set dial and has always been reliable. I use it for topping off tires for a small fleet.
Have even used it with good results on some heavy duty truck tires and fills them up to at least 95psi, although that takes longer.
As a preventative measure, I do try to not run it more than 7-8 minutes at once.

Buying another one for a second location.

I have an 18v battery with my other ridgid tool, but if I wanted a dedicated battery for this, whats a good price to purchase?

Oh just saw there is an adapter to connect dewalt batteries
They are not on sale right now because they are pushing a deal where you get a free tool when you buy a kit w/ charger & Two 4Ah batteries. But most rest of the time that same battery kit is on sale for $79, Can't beat that price or lifetime replacement.

Terrible advise.
Battery adapters are exclusively made by junk 3rd party manufacturers competing to be the lowest price piece of garbage. While they can actually work OK in a low current draw application like this where it matters alot less that you are bypassing the circuit boards intended to protect the battery and tool. On real tools that actually draw large amounts of current they just melt their tiny gauge wires (if your lucky.)

No reason though to use a more expensive battery from another brand when Ridgid batteries are the best buy as far as cordless tool batteries go. They use the same range of Samsung cells as their TTI sibling brands Milwaukee & Ryobi but as long a you register for the LSA within 90 days of purchase or replacement Ridgid will send you new ones when they wear out.

I can't imagine anyone having a practical use for an electric caulk or grease gun, outside of an assembly-line situation. Any value added by ease of trigger pull is destroyed by added size, weight, difficulty cleaning, greater cost & shorter tool life.
