There are an insane amount of variables at play in your loaded question and I'm assuming you know that and are just trying to belittle the spec because you don't personally see the point.

The syncing technologies are very confusing, if you ever peel back the onion layers, however, is it not standard anymore to state G-Sync compatibility ? It is almost like you can't trust the marketing literature and you need to verify monitors on Nvidia website to see what is supported.

Great monitor. Been using it for 4 months. Highly recommend if you want widescreen and OLED.

This monitor can seem expensive but considering the cost of video cards nowadays, then it's actually not too bad especially since monitors will last much longer. Really depends on total cost of entire set up. I have a 10 year old monitor still being used whereas I've upgraded video cards 3x already (~500, 700, 800).

I got this exact monitor open box at this price last year and also thought it as too expensive but after trying it ... No going back to non OLED for gaming (I had IPS). Graphics looks so damn nice! HDR OLED on glossy screen is next level. I tried an LG OLED with matte but returned that. Glossy is the way to go.

This is A LOT of money to spend on a monitor of any type ...
It is expensive, but it's quite amazing. I got it during black Friday when a cb website had 15% CB and Dell was giving $100 back. I think the total was $580. Brand new, not refurbished. If you're a movie buff, movies look spectacular. The HDR in Lord of The Ring films. Wow, you can see things that are impossible to see on a regular LED screen. The contrast is magnificent. It's also great for video games with dark atmospheres. Horror games are perfect. Dead space, Alan Wake, etc

Is it good for productivity and gaming?
Any suggestions about desk mount arm?

Arguably one of the best ultrawides available for gaming. Mediocre for productivity due to burn in and pixel arrangement on OLEDs.

The ASUS 3840x1600 is WOLED, not QD. Will there be a UWQHD+ QD-OLED at some point in the future? sure. ~$700 for this monitor is still fantastic now.

I see so many comments about how expensive it is, has anyone actually research Oled monitor prices? Some Lg and Samsung are well over $1000 , this is actually one of the cheapest Oled monitors out there for it being 34" and QD

How important is it to get G-Sync vs Freesync? I have an Nvidia GPU and I'm afraid to pull the trigger. I currently have G-Sync off on my settings with my current monitor. Will I want G-Sync on with this monitor? Will I want to consider using G-sync in the future? I'm hesitant.

Seems like a good price, but I've been watching it fluctuate between $700 and $900 for over a year now. With new monitors coming out from LG and Samsung (and Dell) I'm surprised this hasn't dropped into the $600 range. That's what I've been waiting for to pull the trigger.

I own this great OLED monitor and using at both work and play. Would recommend for movies/games but think twice for work.

Positives:
1. Great picture quality for movies and games
2. Good HDR contrast

Cons:
1. Very irritating pixel refresh after every 4 hours. You can turn it off but prefer to do this when this pops up as this prevents OLED burn in.
2. Youtube plays 4K but most other streaming platforms like Netflix only play at full HD (1080p) even when 4K is available.
3. The default aspect ratio/scaling is little uneasy for my eyes but needs to be set for personal preference. A 4K monitor would be better for work.
