Why would anyone buy the Series X digital when the disc drive version is cheaper and comes with a disc drive. It's the same size box too

No. They removed the Kinect port with the Xbox One S and One X (required an adapter). And with the Xbox Series X, it's not compatible at all.

I can't believe I'm saying this but Xbox is looking pretty damn appealing after that showcase today. Gears of War, Doom, Black Ops 6, Fable, Indiana Jones, Perfect Dark all on game pass.

The picture quality between the PS5 and this is essentially the same. Having a Sony TV will not make the PS5 or the TV performance any better. There's definitely a difference in picture quality between this and the cheaper series S xbox, so if you're not pinching penny's, you won't be disappointed with this. 🍻

They're phasing out the older model, they make more revenue on digital only. Makes sense to me. I still think the consoles are over priced at $399. By this point last gen we had slim/pro models and price cuts, and there's not really any benefit of having a console when you can do a PC with games pass. Last gen there were at least exclusives that were only on consoles.

Game pass is on PC. If you have both a PC and PlayStation 5, no reason to get this.

Xbox is 20% more powerful than PS5. But probably not enough to make a real world difference. Top of the line PC will smoke a console any day of the week.

that is one reason I grabbed one pre BF last year, same price after cancelling the game in the bundle. The disc drive is probably going away so this is my media center UHD disc player. I'm too old for twitchy shooter but love the immersive games like Hogwarts and the updated Fallout 4. I just go slow and solo offline, no game pass needed.
