The multi head is really for someone who is going to use this a couple of times per year and doesn't mind wasting time switching the attachments. If you ever have to swap back and forth between drill and impact repeatedly for a project..such as installing a door, blinds, or shelving, you will kick yourself in the butt. I kicked myself in the butt so hard installing rollershades with a similar black and decker and wished I had separate drill and impact.

How does this compare with Milwaukee 12V multi-head driver?

just bought this, Not someone who has had a use for a drill as of yet, I assume this will work fine for general once in a while needs? Also doesn't come with any bits, any recommendation for a general bit set that will cover most typical use cases?

This is not an impact driver.

I have the Milwaukee. My brother has this Bosch. I can honestly say I prefer the ergonomics on the Bosch. The forward and reverse switch is intuitively placed whereas the Milwaukee is located on top. I don't love the hand guard on the Milwaukee—it sometimes gets in the way. The only reason I got the Milwaukee is because I'm already in their 12v ecosystem with a few tools. Brushed vs brushless wasn't a dealbreaker for me since I use seldomly to assemble furniture, light duty work around the house, or assembling/mounting cabinetry.

This is my EDC drill

(Of course I carry an impact driver as well!)

The offset attachment is irreplaceable, IMO. Replace your everyday drill bits with hex shank and you are good to go. Milwaukee is a bulky mess, but I would still own it if I didn't have the flexiclick/chameleon. I've since moved to the brushless but had no complaints about the brushed.

Been using mine all day around the house and love it. Great size for my wife and daughter as well. Compact storage bag fits everything pretty well too.

Any recommendations for drill bits with hex shanks?

I have used this as well as the Milwaukee 12v. I gave my son the Bosch because he's not in any battery system and this is very intuitive. I would definitely recommend it for the average homeowner or even middle level DIY. Works great for installing things like cabinets, drawers etc..

As many have pointed out this is not an impact driver. It does have a 1/4 in bit head, but not any ratcheting with that.

yeahh... I got a previous deal on the set with the driver and drill... came with 2 batteries for $100. Having trouble seeing this unless you REALLY need the right angle/offsets

I use these makitas
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HSKJGYT/
and they are fine. Unfortunately only the 3(?) largest sizes are unibody, I personally will look for a full 1-piece set when I break enough of them. Not a big deal but I think the 2-piece design contributes to wobble since they are often not as straight as a 1-piece bit.
