Curious to know how many accounts on this site are fake just to generate hype..

that is because adorama is an SD sponsor so they "promote" / advertise on here for free and they constantly get front page status. make sure you factor that into your decision.

i have personally seen a lot of amp failures with their previous models. time will tell if they have made improvements in that area.

2 years on the electronics and 5 years on the driver

while the spec says 18Hz that is very misleading because there is no +/- range. in real world usage expect down to about 25Hz (+/- 3dB - typical range for "flat" response). the difference between 18 and 25Hz is significant.

RSL subs are a bit different. they use a compression guide tuning to reduce port noise and improve low end performance. their products can easily outperform subs with larger drivers.

they produce equipment in batches based on demand to keep costs down (no expensive inventory to house). from time to time they will be on backorder but usually within a month they are back in stock. keep an eye out as they also run group buy programs so you can save even more.

bang for the buck RSL subs are hard to beat.

I have and very much enjoy this sub but just fyi my amp died like people are saying. Replacement was insanely easy (they send you a new board) but 2 years on warranty for the amp is risky. Great price tho.

I can't find the warranty info for the SPL-150. I know the last-gen klipsch non-reference line subs had issues with their amps.

The RP-1400 has a 5 year warranty, and the amp has been upgraded. It's the better sub for $699 but this still looks like a sweet deal depending on what the warranty looks like
...two (2) years on electronics and five (5) years on woofer, cabinet, and non-electrical mechanics...

Nice deal but I don't trust them (and their amps) over the trusted ID brands that will support their products. Great BFB though if they keep working. Cant argue with that part.

This has a 5 year warranty and the manual says that it gets down to 18hz. Can't see it dropping any further so I finally bit.

2 year warranty on electronics (which includes the plate amp which there have been a lot of reports of failures). It's a bit of a gamble buying this sub with this information.

Damn, this one is tempting…..
I considered the to-14, but it's a little deep for my liking. I didn't check the specs on this yet, but it's likely more realistic.

I briefly had a monolith 12 and almost couldn't even tell it was on so sent it back. Considering even going overkill and do 2 at this price point and symmetry

Can I use this with Samsung soundbar? The sub that comes with it is wireless.
No. There is no output on any Samsung soundbar to connect a subwoofer.

Totally agree. It's a fantastic sub. And at this price point, there is nothing better, not even close.
RSL Speedwoofer 10S is very comparable at its regular price of $450 and is highly rated for its price/power/sound.

They are back ordered for 1. But can you really compare a 10" sub with a 15?

No, you can't. People trying to compare this to an SVS 1000 or an RSL Speedwoofer 10s have no idea what they're talking about.

This can be an amazing value sub if you don't run into plate amp issues. Unfortunately, they do seem to plague this model and are the reason that most people recommend sticking with the new rp line for Klipsch subs. At this price point, it may be worth the risk for some.

This is the only brand / series of subwoofer advertised on this site. Rarely I will see svs or other brands. Are there not many good subwoofer brands for the price?

Real world measurements show pretty decent response well below 25Hz:

How does this compare to the previous RP-1400SW 14" deal for $699?
Pretty similar specs to Rp-1400, this sub is cheaper, but they are known for the amps to go out on them on occasion where i guess they fixed the amps on the new line
