Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

It wouldn't make any sense to get the Moto Care Accidental Damage Protection for $50 (actually $42.50 as there was a discount in the cart) for 2 years, correct? I'm not sure if it would even work since the phone was technically 'free'. I have the option to get it when I put the IMEI in my Motorola account.

I see "Dual SIM: Yes" on Hardware Information. Can I use two phone numbers? One with physical SIM another with eSIM? Want to combine work and personal phone. Any insight is much appreciated. Thanks

Had same experience. I guess once it's in the TF system it still has to be rebranded even when it's "unlocked"?
If phone has been out of service long enough to be removed from the ST acct it seems like it should be able to be activated on TF without having to contact support but they rarely make things easy.
Update: spent 50 mins chatting with tracfone CS to rebrand this unlocked MOTO G power phone to tracfone. Succeeded✌️

Surprised it took that long, seems like a simple thing to do.

It says on the ST website the last step to activating a ST phone is to make a phone call. So your phone wasn't properly activated. That's why it's ineligible for unlock.
I'm sure a call was made to ensure activation. It was reset after that so don't know who was called.

Did you factory reset withoout the ST SIM inserted?
I performed a factory reset without the Straight Talk SIM in place. The bloat is not loaded.

Both of my previously locked devices have unlocked. I had attempted to unlock one and left the other to unlock without my efforts.

Is there a good candidate for a bootloader unlockable cheap moto from Straight Talk?
