Deposited the $15K in each one of the two savings accounts and those bonuses are slated to be paid.
No idea how to track the extra $400 bonus in the app though. Does anyone know of a way to do that or to figure that out?

Deposits from TreasuryDirect like Treasury Bills maturing or reinvesting (giving you the small interest back) should both count as valid Direct Deposits.
Also, reading the fine print, looks like to not get any fees on the accounts you will need….
$15,000 in the savings
$1,500 in the checking
So locking up $16,500 for around 90 days.
Will need to figure out the way to best close it once I get the bonus. Anyone have any experience with closing these out after the bonus is received?
I'm sure someone else has pointed this out further along in this thread, but just in case, I think the "1500" requirement for the checking account can be negated by the 15,000 in savings with the following requirement "OR an average beginning day balance of $5,000 or more in any combination of this account and linked qualifying Chase checking, savings, and other balances"
Seems worth it on a fundamental numbers basis.

I got the same error. May be it's because credit bureau accounts are locked. This happened while I was opening citizens bank account.

I was passed around and hung up on for over 40 min and eventually managed to find someone who could unlock my online ID. They kept asking for my debit card number despite not being approved for the checking account.
A trip to the chase branch with my passport and DL would have been a lot quicker.
Can anyone give thoughts on doing in the branch and what to have to make sure the process is smooth? Going for both accounts and $900 bonus. I'm probably over cautious but absolutely hate hassles. I intend to have my name and kid and will go into branch myself.
Appreciate the thoughts and experience of others.
$900 return (pre tax) for transferring $15,000 for 60 days is pretty sweet for at most a few hours of work. Just don't keep the money there longer than needed

2-3 years back for my daughter, we did go to a branch and then too there were no issues.
