it's an okay deal but these really should be starting to come down in price. I paid for the same specs a year ago for $1000.

Actually my refresh rate is 240hz 1440p with a HP Victus. This should really only be $900 it's not really a good deal.

While I honestly think this is the best laptop you can buy for $1100, you can see from the price history that it's been swinging between this price and $1500 for quite a while, which indicates(as others have mentioned) that this is essentially the "real" price of the product, and the higher price is where they put it from time to time so that they can make it "look" like a deal.

If you need a solid gaming laptop at a relatively affordable price, this is the one to beat, IMO. For myself, I'm waiting for it to break under 1K or even 900 before I even think about jumping on it. The real problem is that far poopier laptops (lower end CPU/4050/45% NTSC panel) are in that price range, and frankly those are wayyyy over priced. Until those clear out, I don't expect this to drop any further.
