I've had this machine for 6 months now and it rocks, but the lint filter is horrible. So much lint and dog hair get into the cooling coils and inside the machine. To remedy this BEFORE YOU EVER RUN A LOAD go buy the primary filter strip kit from homeguysolutions.com or make your own watching his YouTube if you don't wanna drop $50

also I got mine scratch and dent for $1800 all in

Got this in the Costco deal about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. So so convenient, saves energy. 2'20" for a load with "extra dry" on. We have toddlers and a baby and it's so nice to throw a dirty sheet/pajamas in before heading out and coming home to them being clean. No more, "Did you remember to put the clothes in the dryer?"

I don't trust any appliance Samsung manufactures. They always come with great features, only to break down months if not after a year or 2. Not worth it, I'd stick with GE.

Samsung and LG build feature loaded, but failure prone devices. They sell what they do because of their pricing, you get excellent features for a low cost, but you pay on the back end with reliability/dependability. More competitors are following the trend (LG and Samsung are the top sellers).
Well I bought a home that came with new GE appliances. Within 4 years half of them had broken down and or needed replacing. As they break or I just replace them because they look worn out (in spite of being fairly new) I am looking at any brand other than GE. I will never waste money on that brand.

I bought a very similar LG W/D combo from Costco recently.
https://www.costco.com/LG-5.0-cu....56065.html

Mine also claimed to wash/dry in ~2 hours. Very much not true. Unless I put barely any laundry in there, it takes at least an extra dry cycle if not multiple to get actually dry.

Is this one any different? Seems to be the same kind of unit, I don't want to go through the hassle of returning mine and getting this if it's essentially the same experience.

Trying to figure out if i'm just trying to do too much laundry at once or if my unit doesn't have as good of technology. I'd consider going through the hassle of returning mine for this if it actually cuts my w/d time in half..

That's a lot of money for a machine that can't do two things properly.

Earlier this year, I got the Samsung Bespoke model at a heavily reduced price for testing and reviewing purposes. These models are pretty pricey at their full retail and not sure I would have spent that much myself. I'm sure overtime or over black friday we'll see more deals. The Samsung model is particularly praised because it rinses the heat pump. You can see the heat pump coils when you remove the dryer lint, although reaching your hand into the area is challenging. Over time, I believe the idea is to vacuum out any excess lint that might accumulate.

However, Samsung's warranty offerings are not the best when comparing it to the other guys like GE, and they lack a dedicated service center, which could make servicing a challenge. Oh, and another big thing to note is the size of the appliance. MUCH longer that your typical washer/dryer... including front loads. This didn't fit in my dedicated washer/dryer area behind bifold doors. Had to rotate 90 degrees in the room its in for it to fit properly. Which is fine, because now I can leave the door open all the time and keep my bifold doors closed. That said, everything has been working well with my appliance so far, and I've noticed significant savings. Previously, my Duke Energy usage graph showed spikes in energy consumption whenever I used my dryer. Now, my usage is mostly linear with the exception on days where it gets super hot or humid here in Orlando, FL. This dryer pairs nicely with my Rheem Hybrid Water Heater (which I got a few years ago thru Home Depot with the zip code hack, think was only around 600? at that time... now that too is a bit over priced).

Additionally, there's an option for the washer/dryer to stop once the wash cycle is finished, allowing you to add dryer lint. Initially, I left my dryer balls in the wash to save a step but noticed the wool from the dryer balls was coming off during the wash cycle, potentially causing a clog. So, even though you could set it and forget it, it's still wise to check and add dryer sheets when the cycle changes.

My current LG Model #WM3600HWA is freekin awesome and I'd buy it again in a heart beat! Super simple to take apart and repair, IF ever necessary. No offense, but there is way too much regurgitated noise from everyone, and not enough real world user experience matter of facts.

Yeah everything breaks, SURPRISE! And yeah, everything will break at the absolute worst time.....SHOCKER, I know! In the mean time, everything is great, right up until it ain't!

But if you can find a better machine from anyone anywhere then the model I listed above, well I'm all ears IF you can also find it for the $748 that I paid for mine! Maybe rather than rinse and repeat, some folks should be looking up repair videos before opening their wallets or their mouths.

Just sayin.

The Samsung Bespoke version is better in just about every way, the clothes come out dry and the coil cleaner works better. The GE microban seals are the only thing it does better.
The Samsung has the soap tray near the floor. Horrible design, tiny opening and it's to deep. Hard to reach in for clothes. Samsung also has a pretty bad reputation for washer and dryers.

Fair point. Also the Samsung double lint cartridge is not the easiest to clean, even though it works better than the GE.

I've had this model for around 10 months now and am very pleased with it. I have a small laundry room/pantry so space was limited. This allowed me to reallocate the space where the dryer used to sit into shelving making a proper pantry.

I changed my outlook on how I do laundry after this arrived. I am now more likely to put in a load before bed and delay start it so it finishes shortly after I get up the next morning or remote start it from the app on the way home from work so it is ready when I walk in the door. I don't sit around on Saturdays now swapping laundry back and forth between machines. I have a load washed and dried that finishes when it is most convenient for me.

What's the overall time. Usually my washer is 30 minutes and then drying is probably 50. But I can do another load of laundry

It does seem convenient for a single unit but probably takes more time overall to finish two laundry loads.

I guess I can just do laundry more often. Set it and forget it?

We have had our unit about a year. I love the convenience. My recommendation is to buy the GE branded cleaning wand with bristles. About once a month I take out the filter and use this to get lint which got behind the filter. At $1700 highly recommend.

You can't start it remotely with the app.

I just returned mine back to Home Depot a week ago. The fact that the unit requires only 120v, it takes forever to dry the clothes. I'll probably buy one again whenever they come out with a 220v model.lol
I don't think you understand how these things work. They aren't supposed to use much electricity that's the whole point. And they don't work by heating up air and blowing it out the house.

Of course you can. You add the load and select remote start on the control panel. You can then start it with the app.

FYI, there are a few videos that outline how to seal up the lint filter to keep the lint out of your coils. Here's one example. https://youtu.be/ipeBsqiKWsg?si=9w_0CQEjPPK4f90I
