Please explain "24-hours of usage after charging battery for only 10 minutes" - this has solar so why would it need to be charged?

Because solar is optional I guess, since it has internal battery you can run it just off of it but question would be WHY?

All solar cameras are inherently battery powered so maybe it means that? The wording of it is odd. Maybe they're saying it just needs 10 minutes of solid sunlight per day to remain powered off battery for up to 24 hours. Or that it can be manually charged quickly so it's easier to get a live feed and get the placement right when mounting.

If you buy this and find the solar panel isn't keeping it charged try an aftermarket panel. That is what I did and the aftermarket did a much better job.

It's just a marketing phrase. They never said "10 minutes of charge fills a battery with enough charge to run 24 hours." 24 hours might mean "on standby" so even that number alone is missing some critical information. The entire marketing of this statement is deceptive. Likely what is being implied is 10 minutes of charge gets the battery going to allow the camera to operate in a normal manner as long as the solar panel continues to have sunlight on it. Either way it stinks of marketing BS considering the claim is extremely vague. The company is highlighting a very small yet deceptive piece of information without any actual facts or evidence to support the claim.

Reo has been around for awhile now and its been no monthly fee that would time, also if they did start a monthly fee they would probably only do it on new product and not existing as it would open them up to a class action lawsuit.

does this have rtsp feed and uses ONVIF protocol? these china cameras are dangerous. it's good to put them on their on vlan, no gateway and block it from internet and not use the software.

Reolink has nvr. It's pretty committed to making local cameras. They do have some services if you like but none you need if you're doing local.

That being said, just make sure the camera provides rtsp, ovnif, etc feeds otherwise it won't work with theirs parties ie they can then make fees a part in the future.

Reolink is pretty good with this but most of the battery cams don't offer these feeds.

So if you want your feeds in Hass, homekit, frigate, etc you'll need to check this.
