You can get it cheaper via EPP by asking the customer rep for an additional 10% off bringing this down to $1538 before tax. You just have to weigh your options when it comes to Costco's 5 year warranty vs Samsung.

You'd be happy with either one, but I find the Samsung Tizen OS to be the most annoying out of all the big ones, I think Google TV is the best, LG's OS is second, Roku probably 3rd, then Tizen, then FireTV. Of course, thats personal preference. I greatly dislike having to press multiple buttons and navigate like 3 menu layers just to change inputs, but I'm weird like that I guess

How dumb am I to pass on this and wait for an LG deal?

I'm going purely off rtings saying the C3 has "better low-quality content smoothing than the Samsung TV, making it better for watching streaming video content" which is 90% of my use case.

The Best Buy in AURORA, CO on Mississippi had a 77" S95C open box for $1550 or so. Looked good to me but I dont need any more damn TVs. Got too many

I've tried at least 3 different times on previous S90C deals to get the extra 10% off from a chat rep, each time unsuccessful. But today must have been my lucky day. Chat rep danced around a bit, but after a few minutes gave me a pre-configured cart link with the TV having a 10% lower price. I then stacked it with the 5% new customer referral code and got the final price for the TV down to $1462+tax and finally convinced myself that the price was low enough to pull the trigger!

I tried to figure out how to also add the $50 promo for recycling an old TV, but couldn't make it work with the pre-configured cart. Would have been nice to get it another $50 lower, but still a pretty good deal.

Yep you are totally right that changing inputs is a pain on this TV, but it is possible to put the inputs on the homescreen, samsung doesn't make it easy. I did it on mine and it's so much easier to navigate the inputs. You go to connected devices and long-press the middle button on the input you want and "add to homescreen". The tricky part is if it's a "game console" you can't do this for some reason, but you can work around that by changing the input type to something else, add to homescreen, then after change it back to game console. You'll also want to remove any of the unused/garbage apps from the homescreen too to clean it up. Discussed in these comments for a "the frame" samsung tv but the instructions work on these too:

Customer Support through Samsung EDU/EPP would not give me the 10% discount - only offered Samsung+ Care for 2 years. Guess I'm unlucky.

Yup. I can confirm. Just did it now. Came out to 1538 pre tax, 1647 with tax. He gave me those same options. He actually tried to push the Samsung care + but I told him I really want the 10 percent off. Really happy. Cant wait to pick it up
