Price match to Amazon to improve the deal if you really want to do this.

However, be aware that Duracell alkalines are leakier than a saturated dog. So plan on searching methods of cleaning the various devices these wreck. It's not a matter of "if," it's a matter of "when." I've had multiple Duracells start leaking over the years while still in sealed packages with years left before expiration, they're a joke. Even when free I don't bother, am fully rechargeables at this point.

There is coupon deal that you can get free items if your order meets certain amount. That's why I want to buy batteries and my item in the same order if it still gets 100% reward back on batteries.
Not sure why you want to risk it when you can safely do it in separate transactions. Of course it's entirely up to you.

Does anyone know if I buy batteries with other items and pay my existing reward. Will I get 100% back on batteries part if my new money is over the batteries cost?

For example, batteries cost $50 and my other items are $50. If I use my existing $20 ink reward on this order and pay $80 on my card. Will I receive full $50 reward from batteries? Thank you.
The rewards will be prorated across the items in your entire purchase, and your rewards on the batteries will be reduced accordingly.

In your example, your $20 rewards would be split $10 towards your batteries and $10 towards the other items. Likewise, the $80 paid with your card will be $40 on the batteries and $40 on the other items. You will receive rewards payout on the batteries for the portion you paid with the card, or $40 back in rewards.

Eh... like 10 years late to the party bud. Still usable, like any cheap batteries. Just be cafeful and don't leave them in things that matter for any extended periods.
(I posted THIS 7 years ago it looks like (and still have the pack. They ALL eventually leaked, even though none had ever been used.)

Probably not. Why risk it? Do 2 separate purchases. Pay for the batteries on one purchase, then use your rewards on the other purchase.
The amount you get rewarded will be the amount you actually pay for the batteries. Any rewards you use will reduce the amount you pay, just like a coupon, relative to the receipt total (ie. 1/4 of the receipt subtotal are the batteries, then amount paid for the batteries is reduced by 1/4 of the rewards). So it doesn't matter what else you buy or use rewards on.

Reminder, Forever Stamps will go from 68 to 73 cents July 14th.

Also, you can price match Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc., to bring the initial out of pocket "what can I spend these rewards on without feeling ripped off other than stamps" cost down. If you don't need stamps when you spend the rewards, you can always buy TP or paper towels or something after price matching same stores.

people never run out of their inks? they arent cheap to buy empties even on ebay. have they subtracted the cost of buying those?
I still have around 300+ from my last purchase back in 2019.

Got like over 1k at that time, used to recycle 20 at staples and 10 at OD per month.

But now, no more ink recycle at Staples giving their new program, so it will last me a few more years.

I recycled a old cdrom and 20 empty ink carts yeterday! I was looking forward to the $45 for June and another $45 in July. Why wont we get it? Rewards dont expire any more, it seems like the program is better than it was before because I hated not being able to save expireing rewards for something usefull rather than e-waste.

I am a noob on this. So to maximize this deal, I had to have recycled ink cartridges the month before?

So since I too did not recycle ink last month, can I recycle the ink, then buy the batteries? If I get your idea, I end with two rewards (ink and battery). Whereas I could have used the ink reward to help pay for the batteries?

If you browse in private mode, there's a 25% or 30% off coupon that pops up to help reduce tax or try to price match in store to other places with lower prices.

They were just pointing out that ink recycling restarts each month, and this battery deal crosses two months, June and July. So essentially you can do two qualifying purchases, one in each month to qualify for ink recycling.

You recycle the ink within the same month that you made the $10 qualifying purchase. So sounds like you are fine to purchase and recycle this month (July).

Rewards do not 'roll' either, so even if you had rewards from last month, typically you wouldn't want to use on a purchase that yields bonus rewards. It lowers your OOP cost, but lowers your reward that is paid out.

Did you sign up for the Plus membership? I have been thinking about signing up and decided to wait till beginning of July so that I could get July credit of 20 cartridges. I am wondering when you sign up and how long it takes for Staples to start recognizing your Plus membership.
