I'm sorry but I disagree!
There is no way this produces anywhere near the SQ of a $6k traditional speaker setup!
Especially when you consider the content you use with a soundbar!
You give me $1500 and could setup a 5.1 system that would easily surpass the sound quality of this.
It shouldn't be a surprise given they are not meant to compete in that realm and I'm way ahead of the game with content also.

Is this twice as good aa that Samsung soundbar for $700?
Yes, the Samsung soundbar is way overpriced for what it is…. And UGLY. This works excellent for both music and movies and a significant sound improvement….will adjust its settings automatically to your space and content to provide the best sound without fiddling. This processing and higher quality drivers is what your paying for. The fit/finish is also excellent…. will not clutter up your space. If thats worth it to you is subjective….
I can report objectively as I replaced the popular samsung with this. Like going from stock to premium in the car!
Usually I buy refurbished Bose from the eBay Bose store and this price is probably way better. I always tell others if you want to buy a good sound system with a receiver, it will cost at least 6k to beat a Bose soundbar set.

Are you being sarcastic? Bose has been known to be trash "value". Dollar for dollar you can always do much better.
"No highs no lows must be Bose"

I'd even go a step farther and pickup Klipsch Sevens for $799 and add that 14" subwoofer for $699. Sounds _so good_ even without the sub (for music, anyway). I've never missed bailing on my 5.1 surrounds.
