FYI, most of the workers involved in the strike are from their semiconductor division. Most of the union workers from Mobile and Display divisions are not participating. They have several different unions across divisions.

In fact, Samsung Display UW almost went to strike earlier this year, but ended up not doing so with the compensation increase agreement after negotiation.

Here are few Korean news articles, two among the biggest Korean news companies. They mention 80% of workers on strike are from Semiconductor manufacturing site. 5.2% of all Samsung Electronic labor forces. Does not mention about potential display manufacturing halt. I can add more articles if you'd like, but most of the articles mention that the direct impact would be limited to its semiconductor business, and even Union representative themselves mentioned that they want to affect the manufacturing of semiconductor so that the corporate management to be aware.

Again, if you believe that would affect display manufacturing capacity, I neither agree nor disagree, because you may be right, I don't know.

It's great. I use it daily for coding. Most people talking about text clarity are using the first gen QD-OLED panels which a) are lower PPI and b) don't have the altered sub-pixel layout.

1800R curve is low enough to only take a little while to get used to. Even then, it's only unadvisable for pixel-perfect work like some designers/creatives. If you're worried about burn-in on an OLED, you can't currently beat Dell's warranty.

It's g-sync, so not really. It's also basically the only monitor with Dolby Vision support, so it works very well for current gen consoles or plugging in set top boxes like an Apple TV.
