I have received used AirPods from Amazon in the past even though I purchased them new. I don't think they were fake though. Never again will I purchase Airpods from Amazon.

I ain't no apple shill,i don't own airpods 2. But i was extensively searching for new true wireless earphone/headphone and one thing that i can tell you from my research is that Airpods pro 2 has always ranked at the very top(or very near it) of mic quality.

That and the apple ecosystem integration are two main reasons people get these. Sound quality might not be audiophile level(and tbh,none of the wireless set are) But these have "fun" tuning and great for most people.

I bought some very compelling $20 fakes that showed as airpods and warrantied for awhile. Can't say for sure how long but it was at least a month or two before they changed to expired. Everything on my iphone looked legit. ANC worked, everything.

You could still tell from the packaging but the actual airpods themselves are tough. No way I'd trust any sort of open box from Amazon not to be swapped by some scammer, for example.

And even new I'd take a hard look at the packaging before opening. Sucks it's a concern, but some of the fakes are really good. Info online shows what to look for.

FWIW I have every generation and iteration of AirPods and beats wireless sets, some I have more than one set of. And the pro 2's are my fav. Second would be the AirPod v3's. Overall fit sound etc imo

Just bought it at target via price matching through the chat after 3 attempts. It really depends who is in the chat with you. First time they declined because of promotion price, second time they offered me $50 off instead price matching. Only 3rd reps told me that the model name at Walmart don't match with their. I asked their model name and tell them about matching at Amazon. After checking it they did price matching.

Same here. First one told me they don't match if it's a sales price. That doesn't even make sense, like they only price match if the item is MSRP? Hahah.

Third one told me model numbers are different. Told him there is literally only one model of AirPod pro gen 2 and copied the same UPC from both target and Amazon page. Finally after all that they matched. Better than chancing a swapped Amazon product.

Ughhh I've wanted to upgrade from my pros one to these for a while, but they still work just fine and even still have decent battery life. So I gotta wait until they crap the bed lol
