That and the apple ecosystem integration are two main reasons people get these. Sound quality might not be audiophile level(and tbh,none of the wireless set are) But these have "fun" tuning and great for most people.

I have been using these Mon-Thurs, 10 hour days at work for 2 years alternating right and left because they don't last as long on a charge anymore, also minor connection and charging issues. I also have the OG wired apple headphones with lightning connector to mini headphone jack converter. I can't send the airpods in for repair because I got them on ebay as a bestbuy return, no apple care.
Is anyone worried about prolonged use of these and the bluetooth/wireless signals being that close to the brain? I'm wondering if I should buy a new pair of these (could wait for next year's model) or switch back to the OG apple wired headphones if there is any real health concern?

I was on the fence on buying this. However, my current ones (generation one) has given me plenty of problems in last several months. First the ANC went kaput and Apple store, where I took it, told me that it cannot be fixed (used so far and life expectancy not beyond two to three years with daily use) and I was not a happy camper. I expected a longer runway before I had to replace it, as I use it only for one hour a day. Anyway, lately the right side started having static and breaks and I just bit the bullet and ordered via Amazon today and they will deliver it by tonight. Love the convenience. Hope it lasts longer this time around.

That said I ended up buying gen 2 eventually and they're a massive improvement in many ways that are hard to define
