Amazon should be ashamed of themselves. This is like regular price, nothing special about it. They used to do better deals around Prime Day. What a bust.

Here are some use case scenarios for a streaming device.

The Hisense h9g used faulty memory that caused the main board to fail if too many writes occured. The best way to prevent this was to disable the internet, not use on board apps and use a streaming device.

For the Samsung s90b, the company apparently sent out firmware updates that lowered the brightness of the TV. So to prevent an update for those who did not receive it, you would keep the TV off the internet, unable to use onboard apps, so you need a third party device.

I have an s90c that I do not want nerfed, so I use a fire stick on it and others on avs forums do the same with other streaming devices. I also have 2 h9gs that I keep off the internet.

I use a streaming device on my ust projector, the on board apps are laggy compared to a streaming device.

Another use case is that Samsung store does not have a larger app library compared to Google or the TV is not able to run certain apps.

I use an onn streaming box on one of my TV's that has Google TV on it. I can run emulators up to Dreamcast with the onn box, my TV is not able to do that.

Roku does Paramount & Vudu., Amazon stuff not compatible with them. I needed to put Roku on all my Amazon tvs.
Don't get those base sticks. Get 4K or better. The interface is faster and apps open faster.
The real test was Paramount Plus. It would crash or wouldn't run at all on non-4k sticks and 1st Gen Cubes. The price difference for the 4K isn't that bad during these sales and will save you a lot of time.
My 4K Firestick is not compatible with Paramount+. States optimizing video when I select content then gives an error code 6000, and unable to play content. Nothing on the web I have found has worked to resolve, including filing a case with Paramount+. They are well aware of this issue.
I have not tried Vudu.
We now switch to Roku to watch P+

All the way for who? For people who want to be restricted with apple's boring OS.
Okay. If you don't pirate then Apple TV is the best streaming box there is. Every single Android/Google/Fire TV box will eventually lag and have a shit UI experience. It's happened to me on 10+ devices.

I had that error on my 2nd gen cube one day, but connecting to a vpn first resolved it. I haven't had to use vpn since. I think that was about the time my external ipv6 wasn't working, so you may want to check ipv6 connectivity as well.

Can we stack 20% upgrade offer on discounted price? If yes, 20% taken off the regular price or the discounted price?

Thanks in advance
The upgrade 20% will be off the discounted price, so if you are getting the 4K Max then it will take an extra $7 off .

If you are getting the Tv cube , it will take an extra $20 off

I can never get instant upgrade discount, so I have to complete the trade in before these sale events because the 20 % off upgrade is for future orders . So it's best to start and complete your trade in 1 months or 2 before big sales events.

For sure. There are legitimate apps you can sideload. I wouldn't consider Smarttube to be one of them tho. Well, it's in kind of a grey zone I guess. If apps like Smarttube/Revanced aren't considered pirating then they are definitely pirate-adjacent. Don't get me wrong, I love and use it as well. It is a required app for any Android-based streaming device. This doesn't change the fact that the Apple TV is hands down the fastest and smoothest streaming experience out there. The hardware is overkill for what the device is made for, and will last you years and years to come. People who still have their original Apple TV boxes have reported they are still as smooth and fluid as the day they got them. Even people with Nvidia Shields have reported interface lag. We all know how our Android sticks/boxes degrade over time.

I do agree with your assessment. The only reason I would never move to the Apple ecosystem is the sideloading and lack of key apps like advanced apps and smarttube on the Apple ecosystem.

Strange my ipv6 setting is enabled on router and in my Win 10 Network settings, but failed when going to testing websites. I don't know how to make it better. Will try router reboot but have done that before. Read many suggestions and folks who have tried them.
My router does not seem to have VPN settings or options when I went through the admin stuff and the manual. I imagine my ISP-provided router is that way on purpose (Zyxel EMG3415-B10A).
Why would the Roku stick work fine with Paramount+, when Firestick doesn't if ipv6 was the issue?
P.S. I am not a networking guru at all.

Is there a significant, noticeable difference between 4K and 4K max versions?

My thoughts exactly. I looked yesterday and they were the same price but today it's under a prime day sale. Gtfoh
