Tempted but really don't want to go back to having to use lightning cables again. USB-C version should be coming later this year (though rumored not to have any significant upgrades over this version)

Aren't these over 3 and a half years old at this point? Apple should have released an updated model by now.

Nice. You still get 10% back in total with any Amazon credit card. That takes care of tax and gets you an extra few percent off. Decided to add AppleCare Plus since I read they basically give you a new pair if anything goes wrong in the 2 year period.

Lots of other headphones around this price point or cheaper that are better in some areas or close in quality. There's some Sony ones that I see on here all the time for pretty affordable though I think they're refurbished each time.
wireless lossless audio and usbc is pretty major updates imo (assuming they implement this which would be insane if they didjn't).

Agree with Sonys they're pretty good. I bought my xm3's like 6 years ago and use them when I travel internationally (I'm too scared to travel with the airpod max lol)

The annoying thing is that these don't fold.
How am I supposed to carry them out in the street or put in bag/fanny pack?

Same problem with Wh-1000xm5. I may need to get a wh-1000xm4 for more portability.

No usb-c definitely feels like a big reason to not get it (for me) since it would just make me want to upgrade on a minor upgrade to get away from the connector. I did the same with Xbox Elite Series 1 to 2, upgraded asap just because I didn't want micro usb. If I bought an old connector for a device, I'd be spending way more money in the short run to upgrade to get rid of needing that connector anymore. Of course you can just carry an adapter and it's not a big deal but it's just annoying for me.

Are you heavily vested in the apple ecosystem? If yes, then APM for sure. Switching from iphone/ipad to apple tv easily is pretty cool

I really want these, but knowing that an upgrade to USB-C is coming soon makes it less appealing to buy them now. I have a pair of SONY WH1000XM3 headphones and hate having to constantly reconnect when switching devices. I work in sales, I often need to switch between my MacBook, iPhone, and iPad, which can get very frustrating (I spend a couple of hours talking on the phone everyday and heard these have great voice quality too.)

PS: I also hate the idea of having to carry a Lightning cable. I'll end up forgetting or loosing it. USB-C is the way to go.

The XM3's are very comfortable and they sound awesome, but the connectivity is a nuisance.
