I definitely struggled with the decision given the Titanium case, better battery, and the "pro" consideration which the GW7 will not carry over on next trade-in as it's a "base" model.
Also struggled as the GW5P has LTE and I went without it this time. It woulda been nice to have but for double the price ehhhh :-/ though I haven't seen a need for it for my lifestyle yet. Correct me if wrong but this doesn't effect trade-in pricing, it's usually just "models" I've not seen LTE/Wifi sub-model trade-in pricing thus far.
While the battery isn't great on any Samsung watch, I always take it off while I shower and charge it anyways since I've read horror stories about them not being truly waterproof.
Finally, while the watch is in beyond acceptable condition, buying that refurb GW5P did have some dings/scratches (around the bezel, etc) and a scratch across the screen (unnoticeable unless looking for it).
I use SHM Mod currently since I have a Pixel, and I'm hoping the dev accommodates for that or that the process works the same for it (fingers crossed).
I saw someone mention previously the screen for GW7 isn't Sapphire Crystal according to the website, it is, that would have been the only other drawback.
Ultimately for the hardware and software's improvements, continued trade-in value, new warranty, it being brand new, slightly thinner/lighter and the trade-in process (from what I've read) being a "you ship it back in the box the GW7 comes in", it'll afford me a day or two of testing it out to see if I'm completely sold, but it seems worth it.

On a side note - I belive I only have to send the dial back for trade-in without a strap correct?

Well it seems the silver is oos, so I'll keep the 3 I guess

However, my battery life has gone to crap, used to get close to 2 days. Now I don't use AOD and many other tracking things just steps. Sometimes get barley 24hrs, and it lags, doesn't load things right. Pay crashes half the time at checkout. Was fed up with it the other day and ordered the 7 44mm. Hope to trade it in next year for a 8 classic if there is one.
It's more of a if you're satisfied with the one you got or not. I luv the look of mine, but feel it's time to upgrade while I can.
Which is great because when come out with something new I can upgrade with a lower cost.
